Lilac is
nothing more than a DILUTED
CHOCOLATE dog. It takes 2 b loci to
dilute black to brown (chocolate).
There are at least 3 variations in
the Lilac Colors. This has been verified
by VetGen Scientists on 2-8-11. They are
termed, Self Colored or True Lilac,
Lilac Fawn, and Lilac Brindle. Fist we
have the TRUE LILAC COLOR, which is
termed "self colored", the hair being
the same color as the nose, pads, eye
rim, & lip pigment. The HAIR is the
determining factor here for True Lilac
Color, and is the same color as grey
Weimerainers, which also DNA ddbb.
Second LILAC FAWN is dog with a purple
nose, pads, eye rim, lip, but the hair
is fawn in color instead of Lilac, and
third LILAC BRINDLE, same on pigment,
but fawn & lilac hairs mixed in stripes
& sometimes in sable coloring patterns.
These dogs will ALL DNA "ddbb". |
