Info about your AKC papers, and DNA
At Rare Bulldogs, your AKC
Registration is available at pickup. Barring very few
circumstances, there is no reason why a breeder should not have
your AKC papers ready for you at pickup! We also display the
litter registration from AKC usually by 3 weeks of age, to
assure you that your prospective family member is indeed an AKC
Registered Purebred.
Only Trust AKC
ALWAYS buy an AKC
registered puppy! If a puppy is not AKC there is a
great possibility it is not PUREBRED.
Especially in the Blue & Black Bullys, many are mixed with American &
Olde English.
Always make sure that at least the DAD, if not the
MOM too is DNA'D by AKC. The AKC DNA Certificate should be available to
you.
Check to see if the photos color has been altered.
For example...look at the grass..is it green or brown as it should be or does it
have a blue or red hue?
Please, please...check out your breeder. Some
breeders keep their dogs in horrible conditions, even keeping English Bulldogs
outside! Some puppies, to my horror, NEVER see a vet before they are sold. Call
their vet & ask if they are a reputable, caring breeder, & check their
verifications.
At Rare Bulldogs:
**Our Dads are DNA"D by AKC & we are working on getting our Moms done as well.
Links are provided to view AKC DNA Certificates as they come in.
**As soon as we complete DNA on all our Moms, all puppies over $3000 will be DNA"D for you. You will be furnished with the
AKC DNA Certificate. This means both parents are DNA"D as well, so there is
no question that your puppy is a Purebred AKC Puppy.
**Again-Your AKC Registration is available at pickup. Barring very few circumstances,
there is no reason why a breeder should not have your AKC papers ready for
you at pickup. As far as DNA, this can take up to 3 or 4 months at times. We get
them in as early as possible so as to hopefully have your certificate for you at
pickup.
