Lilac is nothing more than a DILUTED CHOCOLATE
dog.
There are at least 3 variations in the lighter Lilac Colors.
This has been verified by VetGen Scientists on 2-8-11. They are termed,
Self Colored Lilac(I call this TRUE COLOR LILAC), Lilac Fawn, and Lilac Brindle. Fist we have the TRUE
COLOR LILAC, which is termed "self colored", the hair being the same
color as the nose, pads, eye rim, & lip pigment. This dog has a
Black Base. The HAIR is the
determining factor here for True Lilac Color. Second LILAC FAWN (ddbb
dog with a purple nose, pads, eye rim, lip, but the hair is fawn in
color instead of Lilac, and third BRINDLE LILAC, same on pigment, but
fawn & lilac hairs mixed in stripes & sometimes in sable coloring
patterns. Lilac Fawns have a Red Base. These dogs will ALL DNA "ddbb". By getting K locus DNA on the
ddbb dog, it can be determined WHICH Lilac Variation the dog truly is. |

| Meet the Rarest of all EB Rare
Colors! We were blessed with not one, but two lilac
babies in one litter. We expected to have at least one,
but what a nice surprise to have 2 in this litter. There were
also 2 Chocolates, and 2 Blues. We have a True Color
Lilac...our boy Zi, and a Lilac Brindle...our Girl
Ultra. BTW, Zi is the FIRST TRUE COLOR LILAC EB in the
World, and
Ultra is the FIRST DNA Confirmed Lilac Girl. YES! We DID
know that we would get LILAC in our planned litter born
6-18-2011. This was not luck or a surprise, we expected
to have at least one LILAC with the 2 dogs we put
together. Even though we started with just a carrier
baby boy, it took us only 3 years to produce the first
litter ever with 2 lilacs and the FIRST TRUE COLOR LILAC
EVER BORN! We hope you enjoy looking at
our beautiful babies! |
